Bringing together a pool of talent, Horizon Festival of Arts and Culture 2018 is happening on the Sunshine Coast for a full ten days of arts.

This unique arts experience is a collaboration of visual art, film, literature, performance, street art, comedy, music, theatre and media. With over 200 events taking place over the duration of the festival, Horizon is an incredible platform of expression, allowing artists to be playful and experimental to bring you fresh works, performance and ideas.

The festival incorporates the Sunshine Coast Art Prize 2018, one of the most dynamic and prestigious visual arts awards in Australia.  Artworks by forty finalists from across the country are showcased in a stunning exhibition at Caloundra Regional Gallery from 16 August to 14 October.

The Bunker: Spoken Word Poetry Workshops are happening at Solbar in Maroochydore on Saturday 26 August at 11am and 6pm.

Patterns in the Landscape will be appearing at three separate locations during Horizon Festival, including Mooloolaba Beach on Wednesday 29 August from 12:30pm – 3:30pm.

String Symphony will appear in multiple Sunshine Coast locations during Horizon Festival 2018 and is free for all participants. Plus there is much much more to see and do during the festival all over the Sunshine Coast.
