Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast has long been a premier holiday destination for families and beach-goers alike. It is about to become an even more amazing holiday destination with the rollout of an $11 million Mooloolaba foreshore revitalisation project.

Planned to occur over several years, the first stage of the project has already commenced with the northern section of the beach being transformed into a new regional public parkland centred around a wide accessible boardwalk that will link Alexandra Headland Bluff and Mooloolaba via the foreshore.

Locals and tourists will experience state-of-the-art park, entertainment and event spaces, a sheltered barbecue area, viewing decks with lots of seating, dedicated playgrounds, a kiosk, loads of lawn and direct access paths to the beach.

What does it mean for Seaview Resort guests?

Mooloolaba is an absolutely stunning beach that will be even more picturesque when the project is completed. Seaview Resort guests will not only be able to experience our magnificent beaches but will also benefit from the incredible beachside transformation.

You’ll be able to walk, run or jog along the foreshore with ease, take a picnic to the beach or use one of the dedicated BBQ areas, sit and watch for whales and dolphins at the perfectly positioned viewing platforms, or grab a refreshment from a kiosk.

There’s even a pathway being built outside our front door where you’ll be able to walk directly to the beach. Think quick early morning swims, seaside walks and watching the changing colours of the ocean as the sun sets all just minutes from your accommodation.

The first stage of the Mooloolaba Foreshore Revitalisation Project is expected to be completed by mid-2021. Council will be making every effort to reduce impacts to the local community and visitors during construction including keeping noise to a minimum.
