The New Pick Your Own Strawberry Season Starts 15th June

Strawberry Fields on the Sunshine Coast

Take the family for a lovely day out at the Sunshine Coast Strawberry Fields. The new pick your own season starts on the 15th June and is open 7 days a week. Let the kids hunt for the biggest, juiciest strawberries that you can then take home with you. Price varies depending on the market value. There is also a café offering mouth-watering treats, such as fresh strawberries and cream, choc dipped gourmet strawberries, parfaits, pancakes, ice cream and more. A true strawberry lovers paradise.

If you still want more there is also a shop with even more strawberry delights such as homemade jam, lip gloss, candles, soaps and nick nacks. This is a delightful day out for young and old.

Mooloolaba Restaurant Review

Lot 104 – Expresso and Wine Bar

Mooloolaba Restaurant

Lot 104 recently opened its doors in Mooloolaba. The owners wanted to create a destination that would rival any restaurant in Europe and any trendy backstreet bar in Melbourne. You can choose the intimate indoor area or the outdoor seating area which has a garden of Eden type feel with its hanging plants and Chinese lanterns.

Lot 104 opens at 6am for breakfast, lunch, dinner and evening drinks 7 days a week. The evening is when this wine bar really comes alive, full of locals enjoying a sophisticated cocktail and nibbles. You can enjoy an antipasto platter to share or order a selection of entrée to share. If you fancy something more, you can choose from one of their delicious main meals. My personal favourite is the crispy skin salmon on a lemon and thyme infused rosti, sauté greens and lemon caper butter and to finish a double chocolate mud cake with hot chocolate sauce and ice cream.

Most evenings they have a busker playing great music to all the patrons in the outside area. So far they are always good; I am not sure what they would do if a bad busker started singing!
