You will be able to park the car in our secure underground parking and forget about it unless you want to explore the area. The hinterland is well worth a visit especially the Kenilworth cheese factory if you love cheese and the best yoghourts. On arrival you will receive a booklet of great discount vouchers to many local attraction and restaurants in the area, including Underwater World and Aussie World, to enhance your stay.

m@mooloolaba is definately worth a visit for Steak or Seafood dining.

There are many excellent Restaurants, Cafes and other places to eat in Mooloolaba.  One of our favourite Restaurants is m@mooloolaba, which is just a couple of minutes walk away from Seaview Resort.  It is the winner of  Best Restaurant Sunshine Coast 2010 by “SC Epicureans”.  m@mooloolaba is a Steak and Seafood Restaurant, and their cold Seafood Selection, or Seafood BBQ at lunchtimes  would be our recommendation.  The Menu is small but varied, and the cooking top class.  Well worth a visit.

Australia Zoo and Ettamogah Pub

August 23, 2010

Australia Zoo is one of the top tourist attractions in Australia and it’s only a 20 minute drive away from Seaview Resort.  We would definitely recommend a visit during your stay.  The Zoo grounds are kept in an immaculate condition and there are numerous food outlets dotted around the area.  The food and drinks available seemed very reasonably priced.  It is advisable to get to the Zoo early to see the various attractions and shows.  Our favourite show was seeing the tigers playing with their keepers and swimming in a glass-sided pool.  Of course the crocodiles are one of the major attractions and not to be missed.  Feeding the elephants is very popular with children of all ages. Using their trunks, the elephants delicately take small pieces of fruit from the visitor’s hands and pop it into their mouths.  There is plenty to see and do at the Zoo and a day there seems too short.  They are doing a special at the moment – Visit in August and get the rest of 2010 for free!

A stop at the Ettamogah Pub on the Bruce Highway on your return is a very nice was to round off the day.

Whale watching on the Sunshine Coast

August 6, 2010

Exciting News!  The whales are on the move and a large pod was sighted from the balconies of  Seaview Resort.  Tours can be booked at Reception on Steve Irwin’s Whale One Whale Encounters which leaves from the Harbour at Mooloolaba situated at the Wharf complex next to Under Water World.

Great Steak & Seafood Restaurant so close to the Seaview Resort

July 14, 2010

The management team at the Seaview Resort had a wonderful evening at M@Mooloolaba last night. We decided to lash out and have their specialty seafood platter. The menu says the platter is for 2 but we shared it between 3 with starters and it was superb. It was a refreshing change to have fresh seafood as apposed to having a deep fried fish and chip style platter. M@Mooloolaba also caters for meat lovers with a great range of grass and grain fed premium beef.
