Free Activities in Mooloolaba

One of the best things about Mooloolaba is its beautiful beach and fantastic B-B-Q and picnic areas. Going away on holiday can be expensive, so it is great when you can take advantage of such a picturesque location for free. All you need to do it pop to the local supermarket and stock up on lots of tasty food and head to the beach. It’s a great place to take the family or meet up with friends, and in the evening  you can sit and watch the moon rise out towards the light house.

Easter in Mooloolaba

If you are not sure what to do this Easter Holidays then why not take a well earned break and stay at the Seaview Resort located on Mooloolaba Esplanade with amazing ocean views.

Kenilworth Cheese, Wine and Food Festival 2012

It is coming up to that time of year again, the Kenilworth Cheese Wine and Food Festival. This is a fantastic day out for the food lovers and/or families.
Kenilworth is a scenic one hour drive from the Seaview Resort in Mooloolaba. The drive takes you through the beautiful quaint towns of Montville or Maleny (depending on your route) and through the picturesque Glass House Mountains of the Hinterland.
Get there early as the Festival kicks off at 7am with Breakfast in the Park followed by a Cheese Rolling Contest at 8.30. If you are going with the family then there is Cheester Egg Hunt at 9.00 am for the kids. There will be live music from 11.00amby Steve Grahams, markets stalls, face painting and cooking demonstrations all day.

Five of the best beaches in Australia go head to head each year to compete for the title of longest human thong chain. This year Mooloolaba Queensland has to try and beat NSW.

Ginger Flower and Food Festival

The Ginger Factory is only a 20 minute drive from the Seaview Resort and the weekend of the 27th January they will be celebrating everything Ginger.

With free entry this is a great day out. The Ginger Factory will be bursting into bloom with new seasons ginger flowers and Helicon’s. Celebrity chefs will be working their magic as well as gardening greats will be hosting walk around the sub-tropical gardens.

This tree day festival is a true celebration of Queensland’s sub-tropical lifestyle and will be filled with loads of entertainment, glorious food and of course flowers.

Saturday -   Arrive at the Seaview Resort and make yourself at home in your spacious apartment looking out to sea. Take a gentle walk out to Point Cartwright Light house and watch the sun set over Mooloolaba. Cold Chisel – Sunshine Coast 2011

Cold Chisel


Iconic rock band, Cold Chisel, have announced their biggest tour in nearly 30 years.

Shows will be staged under specially constructed all-weather Big Top Tents in many towns. There will also be seated arena shows, amphitheatre dates, a club gig in Newcastle and for the first time ever the band will play a handful of very special winery concerts.

“We can’t wait to get back on the road together”, said frontman, Jimmy Barnes. “Every day for years I’ve had at least one person come up and ask me when Cold Chisel are going to do a proper tour. I’m bloody glad to finally have something good to tell ‘em!”
