`Excellent Apartments, Outstanding Management`

As an organiser of golf holidays I have been using Seaview Resort to accommodate our groups for the last two years and have been very impressed. The apartments are large, well appointed and very comfortable and if you are above the fifth floor the sea views are magnificent. The location is perfect, being a two minute walk to restaurants and shops and there is a bus stop right outside on the street. Resort facilities include a well maintained pool and sauna area plus two BBQ’s and a small tennis court. The management team are great to deal with from start to finish. Bookings are handled efficiently and responses to any queries are always answered promptly. On arrival we are always warmly welcomed and if any issues arise they are always dealt with promptly. I have been arranging these golf holidays for 9 years and in that time I have used a number of different resorts. However Seaview would be the best value we have seen on the Sunshine coast in terms price, facilities, location and service. I am happy to recommend this to anyone, whether couples, families or groups.

Review from Trip Advisor – Mooloolaba Apartments

“Expectations met”

5 of 5 starsReviewed November 11, 2012 NEW

We stayed in a two bedroom apartment on the 11th floor( apt 46) for seven nights. Two adults. One of the bedrooms and one bathroom were locked as we only booked a one bedroom apartment. We had full use of the lounge, kitchen, master bedroom and ensuite and laundry room. The views over the ocean were fantastic although seaward meant the afternoons were windy and noisy. Furnishings were near new, very modern and appropriate for a rental apartment. AC was good, we had the fans on 24/7 even though avg temp. 25 Cel. Facilities great, pool & BBQ great: location to shops, Coles and restaurants fantastic – easy strolling distance. Our group of friends, all here from interstate for various times and with various needs were looked after with all requests met with a ‘Not a problem’ response. The various rooms were all great, although all different; views furnishings etc. We all agree we would stay here again! Big thumbs up, Thanks Seaview!! (No gym or restaurant but this is not an issue!!!)

Great Restaurant only a short stroll from the Seaview Resort Mooloolaba

November 12, 2012

This restaurant is extremely popular with both locals and holiday makes, so it’s certainly worth booking a table in advance. Semo’s Moroccan Restaurant has also been voted 4.5 out of 5 on Trip Advisor by fellow dinners.

As we had not organised a babysitter for the evening we had our 6 month old baby on tow. We booked in advance to made sure we had a table with plenty of room for the pram for our sleeping beauty.  As per usual the restaurant was full and there where plenty of staff buzzing around to take your order and help give you menu suggestions. We where told to have anything other than a curry as you can have one of them anywhere! Actually turned out to be great advise.

We decided to have the 3 courses for $35 pp as it seemed like a great deal and would make us try something a bit different. To start we shared the king prawns infused with olive oil, garlic and Moroccan herbs and spices served with warm Turkish bread.  WOW, my mouth is watering just thinking about it! For mains we could not go past one of their signature tagines, so we had Barramundi fillets cooked through a saffron & garlic sauce with vegetables and olives, finished with a Moroccan eggplant & capsicum salsa and I had the marinated premium quality lamb cutlets char-grilled to perfection served with a fruity apricot sauce on a bed of couscous or saffron rice. Both dishes  where faultless. Normally I am not a desert person, however the poached pears in cinnamon, cloves, cardomon and saffron served warm with cinnamon roasted walnuts and almonds and ice cream was s complete hit with both of us.

Over all we had a lovely relaxed evening. It was a nice easy stroll down with the baby from the Seaview Resort. The service was great and the food was amazing.

Mooloolaba Restaurant Review

One Up Mooloolaba – Corner of Venning St & Mooloolaba Esplanade

One of the newest restaurant and bar in Mooloolaba, formerly EV, opened its doors in June. It is a hidden gem, as it is not noticeable when walking along the Mooloolaba Esplanade restaurant strip. It is situated above Cracked Pepper with the entrance via the stairs in the Mantra shopping foyer behind the M @ Mooloolaba restaurant. When you find your way in, you will be looked after by the new owners Trish and Brendan. The seating around the edge takes advantage of the view out towards the sea.  It is great way to spend the day and early evening watching the sun go down. The menu caters for all occasions including light lunches, gorgeous platters to share as well as a nightly dinner menu. We started the evening off with homemade dips to share which was extremely tasty and healthy.  For mains we went on to have panned calamari served with smoked chorizo, green chilli, Danish feta, pine nuts, orange soaked currants and herb salad which was a taste sensation. My dinning partner decided to order the organic spatchcock, kipfler potatoes, wilted spinach, mount zero olives, braised artichoke and Spanish vinaigrette. Everything on the menu reads like a fine dining restaurant at pub prices. Where else can you find spatchcock for a reasonable price? To compliment the meals was a wine list with enough variety to offer something for everyone at reasonable prices and a good selection of beers on tab, both local and imported. On Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday afternoon you can sit and listen to fantastic live music. If you plan on heading out for lunch or dinner while in Mooloolaba I highly recommend One Up.

September School Holidays at the Seaview Resort Mooloolaba

August 30, 2012

With September school holidays fast approaching now is a good time to get you accommodation booked at the Seaview Resort Mooloolaba apartments – we are filling up fast.

Mooloolaba is a fantastic place to bring the kids to keep them entertained during the school holidays, there is so much to do. If you have never been to the area then here are my top 5 things to do with the kids this September school holidays (plus a few more ideas at the bottom as there is so much to do in this area!).

1. Ginger Factory– This is one of my favourite places to visit with or without the children and it is free to get. They have recently renovated the café which is well worth a visit even if you’re just passing. If you want to have a cheap day then you can just brouse around the specialty shops they have which sell everything ginger and honey, stuffed toys, collectable toy cars, soaps and locally made produce. The Ginger Factory has beautiful gardens to wonder around in with amazing ginger plants everywhere. They also have a recently opened chocolate factory where you can watch them make delicious chocolate goodies. The Ginger Factory offer tours which do cost but you can buy a couple to make it cheaper. You have the option of a ginger tour of the factory and get to taste some surprising ginger recipes. The Bee Tour showing you the remarkable life of a bee as well as honey tasting. The train ride which takes you through the gardens (the kids love the train) and also the boat ride which scared my 2 year old nephew!

2. The Big Pineapple Sunday Fiesta Market – This is aimed at young and old with train rides, animal farm, rainforest tours, roaming performers, bouncy castles, arts and crafts for the kids and fine food, great coffee and fashion for the parents. This is a great day out.

3. Mooloolaba Wharf – During the school holidays the wharf have a free petting farm with lambs, goats and chickens which the little ones love. The wharf also has a 3 person reverse bungee reaching 6G’s, 220 km and launches 60 metres into the air!! For the little ones they also have a kiddie’s trampoline.

4. Learn to Surf – Make the most of the amazing weather that Mooloolaba has during the September school holidays and head to the beach and learn to surf. This is great for all ages, lesson start from $60 for adults and $50 for children for a 2 hour lesson.

5. Underwater World – The main tunnel has been under maintenance for the last few months and they are having a grand opening on Saturday 22nd September. This is a great day out for the whole family, there are so many weird and wonderful creatures to look at. Underwater World also offer loads of different animal experiences such as seal trainer for a day, swim with the sharks and seal swims to name a few.

There are so many activities to do with the kids in Mooloolaba here are a few more ideas

Big Kart Track
Australia Zoo
Aussie World
Nut and chocolate factory – accross the road from The ginger factory.
Maleny Cheese factory tour
Stand up paddle boarding
Strawberry picking
