The fully self contained apartments all feature floor to ceiling windows for excellent views over the Sunshine Coast. Choose from one, two or three bedroom apartments depending on whether you are bringing the family or it’s a romantic getaway. All the conveniences of modern life are present. Air conditioning, Foxtel and free wi-fi which may be the deal breaker, especially for the young and social media connected. If it was up to them you’d swear that is the only prerequisite. Wi-fi in the apartment and perhaps wi-fi to get them down beside the pool. But seriously, the resort facilities are top notch, and whether you lounge poolside during the day, or use the BBQ area in the evening the pool area is superb and caters for everyone. There’s even a wading area for the little ones.

The Mooloolaba Esplanade is a fantastic public amenity, whether you take advantage of the morning and use it for exercising first thing, or stroll the promenade after dinner. The pathway will take you to either the Alexandra Headlands or to the Mooloolaba Spit, depending on whichever direction you choose.

About two hundred metres north is the HMAS Brisbane Lookout. A fantastic photo opportunity, or your first look at a dive opportunity if a scuba sortie on your list of things to do. The HMAS Brisbane lies wrecked about 2.4 kilometers out at sea. An artificial reef designed specifically for recreational diving.

If you prefer to keep your powder dry or if you have family to entertain, Underwater World in Mooloolaba is the perfect way experience live fish, sharks, stingrays and other marine creatures. Mooloolaba Things To See and Do

A great thing to do on your holiday in Mooloolaba is take a stroll around the Mooloolaba Bay to the Spit. It’s a leisurely 25 minute stroll to get all the way around and you can drive there via Parkyn Parade if you would prefer. We recommend the walk as there are lots of things to see and do on the way.

Many guests that come to stay do not realise that there are two patrolled swimming areas in Mooloolaba, one in the centre of town opposite the Surf Club and the other round the bay. The sea is quieter the further round you go, and if you go right round towards the harbour wall at the mouth of the river there are almost no waves at all and makes great paddling for little ones. There is also more tree cover around that side if you fancy sitting in the shade and enjoying the beach without the full glare of the sun.

From Seaview Resort you can enjoy all of Mooloolaba’s wonderful shops and cafes as you stroll round to the Surf Club. Carrying on past the Surf Club there is a beautiful board walk through the trees round to the second patrolled beach. If you enjoy your exercise the walk round to the Spit and back is a great walk or run and there are outside exercise stations along the route including one right opposite Seaview Resort. There are three great play parks for children along this route, one outside the Surf Club, another one past the second patrolled beach in a nice bit of parkland with bbq area great for picnics, and the third is at the end of the Spit in the middle of the parking circle at the end. Again, this one is surrounded by bbq’s and seating and many people grab some food whilst the children run and play. Which brings me round to food! So many people ask me where all the fish and chip shops are? They are at the Spit! There is a great selection from Mooloolaba fine dining restaurants “Fish on Parkyn”, fresh sushi “Sakana”, fresh seafood to cook yourself at the fish market and of course good ol’ fish and chips. There are many restaurant reviews further down in this blog section.

Mooloolaba, the perfect holiday destination. Ring us today at Seaview Resort to book you Mooloolaba accommodation for your next getaway.

Special 1

MONTVILLE

Special 1

Montville is an exceptionally charming little village perched on the Blackall Range. It is a wonderful place to visit- cool and leafy you can enjoy a stroll around the many boutique shops, art galleries, cafes and pick up some wonderful homemade craft wears. First settled in 1887, Montville is located close to the Kondalilla National Park – a great place to go bushwalking, have a picnic or cool down in a waterfall. The views from Montville of the Sunshine Coast are absolutely breathtaking, and there are so many things to see and enjoy once you venture out to the Hinterland.

GLASS HOUSE MOUNTAINS

Special 1

If you come to Seaview and stay in a Headland or a Sunrise suite you will get a view out the back of Mooloolaba to the Glass House Mountains. Unusually shaped and very striking they are the remnants of ancient volcanoes and they are well worth a visit. About a half hour drive from Mooloolaba to the National Park there are a selection of sealed and unsealed roads throughout the area depending on your vehicle. At the Glass House Mountain Lookout in the Beerburrum State Forest there is a lovely (not too difficult) half hour circular walk which takes you through the woods then back up to the lookout. There are many other tracks and walks if you fancy a dose of nature, or you can use this route to drive up to Maleny or Montville to enjoy the shops and cafes in the Hinterland.

Mooloolaba Restaurant Review

Sakana Sushi Bar and Restaurant and Japanese BBQ

Parkyn Parade, Mooloolaba

Special 1

This is Japanese food done to perfection and to prove it we couldn’t get a table two nights in a row last week! Which prompted me to sneak down there for lunch so I could let you into a Mooloolaba secret, this place is amazing. If you like super fresh sushi, sashimi, Japanese bbq (like bacon wrapped shitake) and a selection of noodle, curries and bento boxes you must head down to the Spit. The walk from Seaview is great, you can stay Ocean side the whole way and it will take about 20min to half an hour to stroll round the bay.

Sakana only use the freshest seafood, which Mooloolaba has in abundance, and get a lot of their produce from the fishermen right on their door step. I had the teriyaki salmon bento box with Japanese salad, mixed tempura, miso and rice. I cannot rate this place highly enough, it is a very special treat, but if you need an evening meal please book in advance!
